Novitec Rosso Ferrari F430 Scuderia

When enough isn't enough

June 30, 2008
This is the Novitec Rosso Ferrari F430 Scuderia and with 717bhp on tap, it goes rather well.
OK, it goes like a flaming demon horse from hell. With knobs on.
0-60mph comes up in just under 3.5 seconds and if you keep it pinned, it'll reach 125mph in 10.1 seconds. Yikes.
According to Novitec Rosso, there is 'no such thing as a too powerful sports car', which is why it has taken the close-to-perfect Scuderia and fitted two superchargers.
These belt-driven, water-cooled blowers run at 0.48 bar and are fed pre-compressed air via a pair of redesigned intake manifolds. Top speed is an Enzo-troubling 216mph. Double yikes.
Other modifications include 20-inch rims, a speed bump-friendly hydraulic lift for the front axle, and carbon-fibre bits for the interior.
The cost for all this supercharged mayhem is around £275,000. Just don't ask 'why?' OK?
